F.E.T.C.H Assistance Dogs Inc. is a non-for-profit organization dedicated to helping veterans, first responder and others suffering mental heath illnesses. Assisting to regain independence, self-esteem, and improved health and relationships. Our team of passionate volunteers work tirelessly to provide high-quality assistance dogs that enhance the lives of individuals and strengthen communities. Fetch assists people anywhere in Australia and Tasmania. We have area reps who travel and assist with training in multiple states.

The main goal of Fetch Assistance Dogs INC is to help reduce the number of people in the community suffering silently and improve the quality of life for individuals and families suffering with mental health illnesses.
Initially you Email the Secretary at enquiries@fetchassistancedogs.com.au Or you can send an enquire at the bottom of the website.
•A detailed Information Pack will be emailed to you for your perusal, and includes information on Minimum Standards for Dogs to meet for Public Access.
The Pack includes an Application Form and a Medical Specialist Form, where your Doctor advocates on your behalf the reasons for needing an Assistance Dog.
Applications are a Process-No cost involved in Application,
There are Fees Payable upon Approval.
Application is not a guarantee of
Acceptance.
Assistance Dogs are Working Hard when they are in Public Spaces with their Handler. It is best to NOT Pat or attempt to feed an Assistance Dog while it is on Duty.
Assistance Dogs are as Individual as their owners! Different Handlers have limitations on size of Dog, some
Handlers have a Breed Preference, All Assistance Dogs, no matter what the Breed, are all Trained to the same Standards and Work just as Hard for their Handlers

Fetch Assistance Dogs INC is funded through donations from individuals, corporations, and grants from foundations. Please visit the top of our website to learn more about how you can support our mission.
You may qualify for an Assistance Dog if your Medical Specialist considers you to Disabled, Under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992, Section 4, and Considers that an Assistance Dog may help Improve your Functioning. or Alleviate some of your Symptoms to improve your Quality of Life.

due to my P.T.S.D, my psychiatrist referred me to F.E.T.C.H.
Through helping me train my existing pup to be my Assistance Dog, they gave me support, training, a sense of community and belonging as well as a reason to get up each day which is, the journey of regaining my independence..
